Bandhavgarh National Park India - Paradise Regained
Although Bandhavgarh is a relatively small park in the last few years
this former game reserve has become one of India's most
prominent National Parks. The major reason for all the interest
is Bandhavgarh's high density of tigers, which roam the mixed forests
of sal and bamboo in search of an easy kill. The tigers have
not only bolstered the local population by breeding successfully,
they have also brought international media attention to the park
and the plight of the Royal Bengal Tiger.
Shailendra Tiwari (Age 48) (Owner and Managing Director) hails from Rewa, a township about 100kms from Bandhavgarh. In 19th century Maharaja of Rewa's hunting ground was Bandhavgarh.
Jagat Narain Chaturvedi (Age 38): was born in a village inside Bandhavgarh National Park. In 1993 when Bandhavgarh was brought under Project Tiger, the villages were relocated outside the National Park.
Service standards were exceptionally high. All the staff were smiling and seemed like were always on the run to fulfill any requests from the guests. The owner, Mr. Gyanendra Tiwari was always at the property and is a very nice and soft-spoken person.
